North Carolina State University | D.H. Hill Library Transformation

A major renovation of the D. H. Hill Jr. Library was completed in 2020, including a comprehensive renovation of the second and third floors. The renovation features the Academic Success Center and technology-rich libraries spaces, making the Hill Library NC State’s one-stop hub for learning, teaching, research, collaboration and experimentation. The Innovation Studio serves as a venue to display and demonstrate emerging technologies such as augmented and virtual reality, machine learning, projection mapping, and the Internet of Things. The Visualization Studio provides a new, larger space that includes a truly circular projection surface and immersive, 360-degree projection. The Data Experience Lab is a collaborative, community-oriented space for data science, visualization, digital scholarship, and analytics. Waveguide provided AV space planning and system design, as well as project management for the 36,000-square-foot renovation project.
