East Carolina University’s $60 million, 180,000-square-foot Cardiac Research Center supports North Carolina’s mission to provide better education, clinical care, preventative medicine and medical treatment. The new facility houses cardiovascular clinical research, outpatient programs and an education center. Waveguide designed the technology systems, which include an HD origination auditorium and master control room, as well as multiple technology enabled meeting rooms, labs and conference rooms. Waveguide also provided audiovisual consulting for East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine which is among the country’s most successful medical schools in terms of training primary care physicians. Waveguide designed the technology infrastructure allowing the auditorium to be used for three classrooms when the movable partitions are closed.
